My experience with Faith and the Beloved

Though I consider myself to be a keen reader, it took me some time to get around to reading Faith and the Beloved by Kochery C Shibu.

I would not like to reveal the story with spoilers. But I could say for certain that I never thought the twist will be there right from the first chapter which did catch me by surprise and that too a pleasant one.

Though Faith and the Beloved is a thriller, but the pace was a bit slow after the big bang start in chapter one. But everything soon started changing with the clues falling in to place and linking up the story became an edge of the seat type as I moved forward. The graphic portrayal of the events and some of the characters are off the limits at places, but they also give an insight into the unpleasant underbelly of the society.

Thus, I can conclude that Faith and the Beloved is a thriller with twists and turns definitely with a brilliant portrayal and an unputdownable book. Most importantly, for thriller, it is thought provoking and a book that would turn up in conversations with people.
